The programme is intended for employed professionals whose role provides genuine opportunities to develop and demonstrate Level 6 project-controls competence.
Applicants should be working in a relevant project environment and have employer support to complete learning, workplace activities and assessment. Suitability is confirmed through an individual initial assessment.

Apprentices must not be charged for eligible apprenticeship training or assessment. The employer funding route depends on levy status, available account funds, the apprentice’s age and other government rules in force at the start date.
Training and assessment can be paid from the employer’s apprenticeship-service account, up to the funding-band maximum, where sufficient funds are available.
For eligible starts from August 2026, a non-levy employer normally contributes 5%, with government paying the remaining 95%, up to the funding-band maximum.
For eligible starts from August 2026, government can fund all apprenticeship training and assessment costs up to the funding-band maximum.
Important: Funding is agreed with the employer, not paid directly to the learner. The apprentice must not be asked to pay eligible training, assessment or employer co-investment costs.
